Well a couple weeks ago Corvallis, OR hosted a 48 hour film making competition called the DaVinci Film Festival Fast Film Project, and we participated. The movie we made and submitted is now posted on our movies page. It was a lot of fun but we did run out of time so it doesn't look as good as we hoped for, the color is off and some the audio levels to. When Eric finishes fixing those problems I will post the final version as well. There has continued to be no work on the vampire movie but I'm not calling it dead, too much has been done to it just to abandon it. I'm hoping this new movie will motivate us to finish the vampire movie.

Not a lot has happened in the last year, but a few things have. First, there is a new video in the movies section, written, directed and produced by earl. Some of the videos are now hosted on YouTube.com. I did this because its easier to set up, it saves space on the server, and uses less of my download allotment. We did finally get principal photography in the can, way back in January I think. Post production has been plagued by more computer problems. Do to hard drive failure we thought we'd lost all our footage, we were however able to save it all. Eric's computer suddenly stopped running blender, the new version and for some reason the old ones too. I know what you are thinking, "just get some new computers." Well none of have any money, so new computers come only as hand-me-downs. Eric did recently receive a new hand-me-down that does run the newest version of blender, so that stuff is back on track, fingers crossed. The forums are dead. I may try to fix it and put in some stuff to try to prevent the spam problem. I wouldn't expect that any time soon tho.

Yes, it has been quite some time since my last update; I had some catasrophic computer problems. They're fixed now but I've also been a bit lazy. now on with the update. since the last update, we were taking a short break for the holidays. That turned out to be a seven month break because we were at a very complex to shoot scene and we were intimidated by the prospect. We did finally get that scene shot. We are now paused in shooting because Earlowsky is having some personal issues and cannot consentrate any energy on the project. Hopefully that can be resolved soon. In the mean time Eric and I are starting on some post production stuff on the footage we do have. The remaining footage to shoot is minimal, and once we can start that again it should be done in one or two filming sessions. Thank you for bearing with us.

Happy New Year! I know its been a while sence the last update, but my computer is down. Anyway, we are currently well into principal photography on "The Vampire Movie". Its taking quite some time to finish because we only get to shoot a couple days a month due to shcedule conflicts. I had been hoping to shoot every saturday; if we had we'd have been done with shooting before christmas. But it hasn't worked out that way, cest la vie. Eric is making some good, although slow, progress on the 3D models.

I got a new page up for "The Vampire Movie". It can be accessed through the projects page, or Click Here to go straight there. At the momment it only features a synopsis and characters list. I will in the (hopefully not to far) future put up some shots of costumes, a special effents preview, maybe some set designs or something. So keep an eye out.

So its been almost a year since the last update, sorry about that. Not a whole lot has happened since then, hence the no updates. But now I have good news and bad news.
Good news first. I have just finished a script for a movie conserning vampires. This will be our next major project (if a 15 min. movie counts as major.) We are currently in preproduction. Almost all roles are cast, we're just waiting on word from two prospectives. We are working on getting our effects system going. We will have some really cool digital effects. We will have a full 3-d werewolf, a vampire that explodes into a cloud of bats, and we are trying our hand at 3-d sets, there's only so much you can do in a single house you know. When we have the effects figured out I'll post some sample.
We filmed a new short a while back. It was a project for experimenting with camera angles and effecting mood based on environmental factors rather than script. We planned on a four part series using the same script for each shoot. The first is edited and needs music. I have no idea when that might happen as none of us know how to wright music. The remaining three have yet to be shot.
Now the bad news. Dirk Lancing is now officially on hold. It was postponed a while ago due to casting and location issues. We have also recently been willing to admit to ourselves the script is way to large a scope and beyond our current means. Also, the script is way to short for the amount of story presented in it. So after we finish the vampire movie, I'll try to get the script lengthened to about double (making it about 40 min.) and we'll look at it again then.
In other bad news the Black Suit of Death cartoon is also on hold because I just haven't gotten around to it and have no idea when I might. Sorry.
One last thing, if you have any ideas for a title to the vampire movie, we'd like to hear them. I'm starting a topic in the forums for your suggestions. Thanks.
